Three Year Old Program
Our three year old program prepares Eastminster students to enter into our four year old program. To enter into the three year old program, the child must be three years old by September 1st of the school year and potty trained.
The curriculum is focused around each child's social and emotional development, physical and motor skill development, cognitive development, self help skills and work habits. We follow the ABeka Reading/Phonics curriculum. Each week has a unit of study, consisting of a letter with a correlating theme such as "P" week, penguins and pajama day! Under the guidance of the teacher and assistant, your child will begin to manage new situations, work and play cooperatively with others, show responsibility and respect for others, recognize their own name and their classmates names in print, count to 100, recognize colors, shapes, sizes, positions, opposites, and patterns. Cognitively, they will learn to listen to instructions and stories, answer content questions, recite the alphabet, complete patterns, and recognize alphabet letters and corresponding sounds.
With a variety of activities, themes, experiments and projects, your child will begin to love learning and coming to school, an important appreciation to foster very early! .
Funday Monday is an enrichment offering that runs from 9:30am-1:30pm and is filled with playtime, circle time, singing and movement, experiments, special crafts and more! Our enrichment days are designed to allow the children to explore their curiosities, engage their creativity and discover their many talents!
