JAMES CALEB CLARKE III
Caleb was born and raised in Atlanta, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and then went on to Emory where he received a law degree. After practicing law for 20 years, he spent several years in business before responding to God's call into full time ministry. He and his wife Mary have been married over 40 years with three grown children and two grandchildren. Caleb was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta for many years where he served in various leadership roles including Clerk during his last term on session. Caleb is a member of Greater Atlanta Presbytery as a member of the ordained clergy.
In the early 1990s Caleb was instrumental in the development of a seasonal, non denominational chapel on Lake Lanier where as Assistant Chaplain, he shares planning and preaching responsibilities. In 2004 he entered Columbia Theological Seminary and upon graduation began an interim position in the area of church growth at First Presbyterian. When that position was filled he became Parish Visitor responsible for visiting and contacting the members unable to attend church. At First Presbyterian, he taught Sunday School, lead a mid-week Bible study and was responsible for coordinating the weekly Sunday Communion service where he preached most Sundays.
In 2009 Caleb was called to Eastminster Presbyterian Church as their Designated Pastor
Caleb is an avid runner, loves to cook, and plays golf when time will allow. He and his wife enjoy traveling and boating and they are currently restoring an older houseboat which they keep on Lake Lanier..
