New Year's Eve Worship Service

Carole Harris Mitchell and Susan McEwen Ray have both enjoyed careers in Music Education, Music Ministry and have both participated in various performing opportunities their entire lives. They became a performing team in 1994, when Susan joined the music ministry of Smoke Rise Baptist where Carole was already on staff and further in depth in 1997, when Carole joined the adjunct faculty of DeKalb College, now known as Perimeter College/Georgia State University, where Susan was already on faculty. Discovering their mutual love of piano, organ, piano and organ music, and their mutual keen sense of interpretation, they began playing duets on both instruments, and became fast friends. As duo keyboardists, they have performed much of the absolute music of the masters written for that genre. They have performed together in many venues: college, community, church and for broadcast, both locally and in the southeast. They plan to enjoy and continue playing duo-keyboard music, and they love to be a part of concert and service events.
