Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women is a church-wide organization whose membership is open to all women. PW members are those who choose to participate in or be supportive of Presbyterian Women in any way. PW gives strong support to the mission of the denomination and determines its own leadership, program, and budget.

PW has circles that meet once a month, except July and August, at different times and places.  We use a Bible study book each year. Under the guidance of a Bible moderator, we focus our studies on a specific chapter of the Bible and, as a group, determine the meaning of God's word in our present-day lives.

An explanation of the Presbyterian Women Symbol: The Circle, which encloses the symbol, is open in many places. It represents unity and, at the same time, because it is not continuous, expresses women freed by faith.

The three figures, with no distinctive features, represent women of all ages and racial/ethnic backgrounds, a community of women in Christ. As "the forgiven," these women rising from the Bible illustrate serving, studying and praising God. The design suggests a triangle within a circle--trinity and unity.

  • Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:

  • To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study.

  • To support the mission of the church worldwide.

  • To work for justice and peace.

  • To build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) and witnesses to the promises of God's kingdom.

  • All women are invited to attend a circle at Eastminster.

  • Circle of Blessings meets the first Tuesday morning of each month beginning September 13 at 10:00 a.m. in the Adult Center and via Zoom. Susan Adle is the Bible Moderator and Marjory Crawford is the Circle Moderator.

  • Evening Stars Circle meets the first Thursday evening of each month beginning September 15 at 7 p.m. in room 266A and via Zoom. Marty Hillman is the Bible Moderator and Janet Uthlaut is the Circle Moderator.

  • Please join us for fellowship and this wonderful Bible study. If you have any questions, please contact one of the Bible or Circle moderators.
